NEW 15.00 Fortnite Update Official Patch Notes

The next update of Chapter 2 - Season 5 is dropping December 15, let's break down what you need to know to rack up some Bars!

Operation: Snowdown

Winter is coming this week. Join Snowmando for new Quests, chilling Items added to the Island, and new and fan-favorite LTMs you won't wanna miss. Complete all the Operation: Snowdown Quests and earn a ton of free snowy cosmetics, including two exclusive Outfits!

New Items

Mancake misplaced his stash of weapons throughout the Island. The new Cowboy Repeater Rifle combines a rapid shooting style with dead-eye accuracy. Syr-up!

Save up those Bars because the fire-loving Blaze has also been equipped with an Exotic-class weapon for sale, the fiery Dragon's Breath Sniper. To combat the heat, a new Character has arrived and will be packing their own chilly armaments.

New Options

Based on player-requested feedback, we've added an option to toggle on or off Pre-Edits; with Pre-Edits 'off new' builds will always appear in their default, unedited state when building.

On the next gen hardware front, 15.10 brings '120 FPS Mode' option for a buttery smooth framerate that would make Mancake blush. Note: In 120 FPS Mode, the resolution display will be capped at 1440p on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, and 1080p for Xbox Series S.

New LTM: Spy Within

Drop in to a new LTM playlist, Spy Within, featuring new games made by top community creators. The team of Spies must hunt down the team of Agents as they complete objectives. Don't act sus, or the agents will vote you off the island!

Update v14.40 arrives on October 21 and the Island has become haunted by shadows. Here’s some highlights of what’s coming this week!

Ghostly New Gameplay

Fortnitemares returns with a terrifying twist in Solos, Duos, and Squads! What was once The Agency has been reclaimed by the ranks of a reawakened mastermind out for revenge. Join his army to fight alongside friend and foe alike and snatch a shadowy victory from the living.

New Challenges

The Island is overrun with haunted huts and daunting decorations. Complete new challenges and get a new terrifying Back Bling, Pickaxe, XP, and more!

Loot Pool Changes: Trick or Treat Edition

We’re vaulting the Charge Shotgun; let us know how this changes your play. Ghoulish weapons have returned to aid in the shadowy showdown. Soar through the skies like a witch, while those with a sweet tooth will find new treats quite enhancing. More super-powers are rotating in, so put those fists up!

Here’s some details on v14.30 to help you highlight everything coming to Fortnite on October 13. And get ready because Fortnitemares is just around the corner!

On Your Mark. Get Set. Race.

Rally Royale is a new fast-paced LTM where you’ll need speed and wit to take home the victory. Collect tickets to unlock the finish line, get there quick or get left in the dust. Rally Royale launches later in the week, jump behind the wheel and tell us what you think!

Marvel Knockout Super Series

Assemble the squad and put your super-powered skills to the test in these Marvel Knockout tournaments. The first cup on Wednesday, October 14 celebrates The Man Without Fear himself - Daredevil. The prize? Early access to the brand new Daredevil Outfit before it arrives in the Item Shop! This is just the first of four tournaments - players who participate in all four will get an exclusive Nexus War glider.

Loot Pool Update

Galactus’ growing presence is scrambling the loot machines. Combat Shotguns are now more effective at all ranges! Give us your feedback and be on the lookout for new super-powers rotating into the mix.

Here’s some info about what's coming in v14.20 to help you introduce your audience to everything in Fortnite on September 23.

New Boss: Wolverine

Confront Weapon X deep in Weeping Woods, take him out, and shred through your opponents with the Wolverine’s Claws mythic power. Like other bosses on the map, he won’t go down without a fight. Let us know what you think!

Takeover LTM

Earn points by capturing and holding outposts in a new Marvel-themed game mode. During your Island domination, you’ll start with a random primary superpower and see comets in the sky dropping more powers of all types to build your perfect loadout.

Fortnite Turns Three
